Nintendo has launched the official website for its intriguing new Wii title And-Kensaku, previously known simply as Kensax. The game is co-developed by Shift and even Google has lent a helping hand in its creation. And-Kensaku is a collection of mini-games where the number of search results for particular terms must be guessed. For instance, if you are given two similar phrases, which do you think would be the most popular when searched for on a website such as Google? There are fourteen mini-games in total, with eight of them available for up to four players to take part simultaneously. There are over 10,000 words included on the disc and the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection can be used to obtain even more search terms. The "Kensaku Robot" that can be seen on the website is featured in the game itself, teaching players all about searching and terminology involved to gauge the popularity of certain searches, as well as making you aware of key new phrases that are currently the vogue.
Having been initially announced back in October 2008, the game will finally launch in Japan just before the Golden Week holiday, where massive sales are a given. Expect a strong promotional campaign in the run-up to this budget release's 29th April debut in Japan.
