Prince of Persia Wii Developer Diary on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The Prince is getting fitting treatment on Wii, a ground-up experience with an exclusive story. The team recently spoke of their adventure.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is the next installment of the much loved precision platformer, seeing the warrior leap, dodge and combat the living dead to save his brother's kingdom from destruction.

The Wii outing also comes bundled with the SNES classic as an optional extra.

Looks actually quite good, a little fiddly though. I was happy about the fact that you don't actually have to use the sandpowers to get around, there's always alternate routes. I personally can't wait for another prince of persia, and this looks like it's taking it back to its routes with puzzles actions and traps, And I love my traps! I've written too many reviews for the previous games Smilie

Doesn't look too bad ya - some nice visual work in some, some pretty poor bits in others, but on the whole it looks pretty good - hope the controls are tight. Should be a decent one especially as it's been worked on with a bit more care it seems!

Hm, maybe it's just been too long since I played the versions on the GameCube, but I'm sure they looked better than what Forgotten Sands on Wii looks like here.

I hope the Wii version does well, and I'm sure it will, but when it comes to multiplatform games I am gonna have to stick to buying this game on the PS3.

Glad to hear that Yuri Lowenthal returns to voice the Prince though!

So it comes with a SNES pad? is that everywhere or just certain regions?
