Ubisoft Announce Ghost Recon: Future Soldier For The Wii on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Today, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that the upcoming shooter, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, will be coming to the Wii, as well as the other consoles. The game, however, will be 'different' to the other systems' versions. This is because it will be made by a different development team, instead of Ubisoft Paris.

It's done by a different team, so it's a different approach, and will be created for the Wii population

Do you think it's a good idea for Ubisoft to include the Wii in developing it's new title? Will the game turn out to be an excellent edition to the Wii library?

I think this might actually turn out to be decent. Obviously the best versions will be on the Ps3/360, but I'm hoping the Development team they've hired will put in a good effort.

Like Treyarch have done with the Call of Duty games on the Wii.

Maybe a late answer to Activision's Modern Warfare?!

Wait a second...why all the Wii hate here? Has nobody considered that this might actually turn out to be good?

Is the Paris team the same one behind Red Steel 2?

But it's not Ubisoft Paris that's making the Wii version.

I think the Wii version will be decent though, which is the same as good really. Never know, it might be a blcokbuster hit or something.

Hmmm - too early to tell, Ubisoft seem to be so-so with the Wii, I'm sure by now they've gotten the hang of things. But ya, it's easy to assume it could turn out on-rails or something gimmicky like that, but you can never know..
