Nintendo has announced that the Wii console has sold four million units in France alone. Today the French arm of the company announced that it has appointed a new General Director, in the form of Philippe Lavoue, who previously worked for Disney Consumer Products. In the midst of that announcement, though, the sales tidbit was slipped in to show Nintendo continues its strong performance in France. Twenty million Wii consoles have been sold across the whole of Europe, and its continued sales surge can definitely be attributed to various factors - the limited edition black bundle, the price drop, and the release of games such as Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports Resort and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
Can Nintendo keep up the momentum throughout 2010?
