Nintendo look into possible copyright infringement on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The Independent has reported that Nintendo's legal team has been instructed to look into whether a move to emulate its old consoles on a mobile phone is an infringement to their copyright.

A video posted by Nokia shows the new N900 apparently emulating consoles such as the Gameboy, GBA, NES and SNES. The video states:

Some emulators require separate ROM images to play games

Most publishers allow individual title usage provided that the user is in possession of the original title.

It also advises people to check with the title's provider.

The phone is set to directly compete with the Apple iPhone with its focus on games. What do you think of it's ability to emulate consoles? And do you think Nintendo is right to look into the matter?
