The Independent has reported that Nintendo's legal team has been instructed to look into whether a move to emulate its old consoles on a mobile phone is an infringement to their copyright.
A video posted by Nokia shows the new N900 apparently emulating consoles such as the Gameboy, GBA, NES and SNES. The video states:
Some emulators require separate ROM images to play gamesMost publishers allow individual title usage provided that the user is in possession of the original title.
It also advises people to check with the title's provider.
