I still fail to see how this is a good idea. They're releasing a port of a two-year-old game with downgraded hardware specs and neutered online modes, and they're releaseing it on THE SAME DAY that the sequel to said game is coming out on other systems. How can they expect good publicity??

Also: that is some ugly-ass texture work.

Seems like it's just geared at those of us who own a Wii and not the other systems. I might pick it up.

Sounds pretty poo to me, why bother milking a great game. Smilie

I really want a good FPS game. Metroid was an excelent FPAdventure. Never been interested in WW1/2 games but modern war I have never tried. Game looks very rough. Why oh why doesnt my poor white box atleast support 720p/i. Devs need to go for less is more when trying for realism on the wii.

    DLC and Wiispeak/Motionplus not supported.

I cringed looking at the second screenshot, its like play that on the pc with all the graphics settings turned down and the lowest resolution.

Looks pretty good for a N64 game!

Just take this comparison of the second screenshot to this 1.

I might still pick-up though just to see how it plays out.

    Smilie very bad!

Is that shot in-game, or cinema? I get the feeling the shots from the Wii version are in-game. Wouldn't be fair to compare prerendered vs. in-game.

It's in-game I think. I remember that level very well in the single player campaign. It looks just like that.

Its still hurts to look at it. The thing is, I\'m all for having the current gen games across all platforms. Face it\' its totally unrealistic to expect constant exclusive titles just for the wii. If the PS3 and 360 struggle to secure them the wii has no chance.
But when it goes onto the wii the machine cant handle this level of detail. You need to scale back. The grass camouflage for instance should just be scrapped. Its just jaggy city. With Virtua tennis the camera men and extra ball boys need to be removed. Its too much for the wii.

Well, the grinder manages to have more one screen enemies and look better. And it's in its early stages. So the Wii can handle it.

Although, I guess treyarch had less than a year to port and try to make it look good. Maybe it'll look a lot better in motion. No Where near first/second party quality though.

    DLC and Wiispeak/Motionplus not supported.

Why are they using things not supported as bullet points?Smilie

They might as well have "doesn't support Wii Balance Board" too along with every other Nintendo peripheral.

Its just weird. The Call of Duty World at War port for Wii actually looked pretty good.

As far as Wii Speak goes, I can see them listing it not being supported because the other games had mic support. It's probably also there to answer questions before they're asked.

As for the Wii not being able to handle it... I know for a fact it could look better than this. What it comes down to is the developers' willingness to actually put some EFFORT into the project. Like someone else said, The Grinder looks fantastic. Looks just about as good as Left 4 Dead, so far. And it isn't even finished, yet.

    this is pretty lame...

why do i get the feeling that the wii always gets the short end of the stick.

Mario, Mega Man and Rayman FTW!!!

Finaly cod4 for wii. But the same day as the second one. thats like a huge middle finger to us. Now were stuck with left overs.

    epic-demic (guest) 21.10.2009#21

I think COD 4 wii will be just like waw. All wii owners get riped off. Half the maps will be gone and alot smaller than 360 ps3 and pc. The only reson we get it on the wii is because Nitendo biched and moned. I doubt any effort was put into this game. Ill still buy it.

    WIIhater (guest) 12.11.2009#22

how bad can the wii be. If he can't even play modern warfare with normal graphics as a pc or xbox 360 or PS3

    bob (guest) 18.03.2010#23
