Wii Sports Resort US TV Advert on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Wii Sports Resort is currently storming Europe, hitting Number One in Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, and across much of Scandanavia, as well as all the way across in the other PAL region of Australia, all thanks to a massive media campaign to raise awareness for the MotionPlus-enabled games collection. Now, though, it is the turn of the US, since Resort is taking over North America this week and Nintendo of America has started its TV campaign with a funky new advert.

"Escape to reality", nice wordplay.

Swordfighting looks bad, way too waggly.

Kind of funny they would feature two of the sports (Baketball and Fencing) that people consider the weakest out of the collection.

Uhhh the sword fighting is arguably the best..

The later levels from about 4 onwards in Showdown mode(kind of like a hoard mode) require quite alot of precision blocking/attacking.

Anyone saying sword fighting is/looks weak NEEDS to play it for themselves. It is incredible. It correctly mirrors your every movement. It takes precision to play. Simply waggling will not work as you're more likely to have your attack blocked that way.

I would give WSR a 7/10 were it not for Swordfighting which boosts it up to 9! Smilie
