LucasArts, once known for high quality adventure games, has revealed a desire to make more if the new Monkey Island games sell well.
The publisher is working on an enhanced remake of the original game, The Secret of Monkey Island, for Xbox Live and PC, as well as collaborating with TellTale Games to produce a spin-off episodic adventure - Tales of Monkey Island.
If this sells, there's no one at this company who doesn't want to do these games. It's a matter of showing that there's interest and this market is alive and get people as excited as possible about Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition to show that these things can make it.LucasArts community manager Brooks Brown
With LucasArts now taking that risk to bring back the Monkey Island franchise, fans might be seeing remakes of Full Throttle and Grim Fandango in the future.
Thanks to 1up.
Are you a fan of Monkey Island? Will you be downloading the enhanced Secret of remake, and/or parting cash for TellTale's all-new adventures? What adventure games (not neccesarily from LucasArts) would you like to see brought back?
