BioWare "Intrigued" by Wii Development on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

BioWare have expressed some interest on working on the Wii, with some unannounced projects that are on the way.

The studio have worked on one of Nintendo's platforms, producing the so-so Sonic RPG for DS, and by the looks of things might be taking their skills into the world of Wii Remotes and nunchuck.

BioWare's Ray Muzyka spoke to IndustryGamers, confirming that despite the Wii's not-as-powerful architecture, the team are "intrigued by the idea of developing on Wii but we have nothing to announce right now. We do have some unannounced projects that we're not ready to talk about yet, and they are different from some things we've done in the past."

Thanks to VG247.

I wouldn't be surprised if SEGA actually greenlights another Sonic RPG. The first one seemed to sell quite well in the West (never even saw it in the Media Create Top 50, despite it getting some decent coverage in Famitsu magazine).

A think another Sonic RPG is a dead cert really, my only worry is Bioware actually trying this time. How can they have such a great track record and then give the DS such a poor attempt?

Would be lovely to see a Sonic RPG on the Wii though. Then there would be absolutely NO excuse for the awkward graphics and music...

And, the first Chronicles isn't even out in Japan yet o.0; I wonder how it'll do there? Sonic's never been too popular in Japan.

Haven't they said something to this effect before? Anyway, Bioware is cool, I just hope that whatever they're working on is a real RPG that people will take seriously and not some kid-oriented game. (cough-Sonic-cough)
But at least they're not like Bethesda, doing the John Kerry flip-flop on the Wii. Speaking of which, when the hell is Bethesda going to announce that ambiguous new project??

People take Mario games seriously don't they?

Please be a new franchise.

Urgh - Sonic Chronicles was too try hard, and got a bit dull after a while. Never again *shudders* - A second game for DS, possibly Wii, is likely methinks.

For the love of god don't go down the party route!
