Nintendo Showoff DS For Stars Hoarders on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

An update on Nintendo's European Stars Catalogue has given Stars collectors a new milestone to reach, for a Giratina-engraved Pokemon White DS Lite.

Previously it was the Golden Zelda Model, at 14,000 stars, that would tempt fans into emptying their stars accounts. You'd need to register a heck of a lot of Nintendo games to get this one;


Mark yourself out as a true Pokémon fan with this special edition Nintendo DS Lite! Glossy white, with a silver Giratina Origin Forme emblazoned on it, this DS is a true original that will have your friends green with envy. Note: This is a Japanese-version Nintendo DS Lite, but comes supplied with a European charger, European-language manual and approval for European use.

I'm sure if you brought every game that comes with nintendo stars including VC and Wiiware, and (if they still work) GC games, you'd barely make it to 30,000.

Okay, the average DS/Wii game gets you 250 stars, which means to get this you would need to register 120 (that's ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY) first-party Nintendo games. Are there even 120 first-party games? Not forgetting that some games give you 200 instead of 250 too!

I'm happy with my Mario Galaxy CD, thank you.

I used to have something like 23,000 Stars built up over MANY years...but they've all been converted into Wii Points. My last few points bagged me a 'free' copy of Little King's Story recently as well Smilie

Surely nobody will be able to buy this since Nintendo wiped out all the old Stars people had built up?!

That's a totally crazy price considering the time limit on stars now - they'd have done better to say 15000+£39.99 in cash.
