Sammy StudiosBIG changes as Sammy expands!Sammy Studios (recently linked with a merger between SEGA and themselves) have opened a massive new 66,000 square-foot facility today in San Diego, California. The new complex will act as a huge development studio and headquarters for their branch that will be developing world domination tactics, also known as publishing operations. Before this the company had been very Japan-based but it was decided that in order to expand they would need to get to work on taking a bigger bit of money from the USA. The first original game from the new studio will be announced in early 2004. The founder, Hajime Satomi, and the president and CEO, John Rowe, were there to recount the history of Sammy and celebrate the opening. "We set out to create an environment that is fun to work in, one that will motivate and inspire us," said Mr. Rowe. "Our goal at Sammy Studios is to attract key technology and creative talent who will lead our product development into the future. Today we employ nearly 100 people, and in the next 18 months we will double that number." Post Your comments below.
