The Conduit GDC Cam Footage on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

New sections/levels from High Voltage Wii Shooter, The Conduit, have made their way online from this year's GDC.

The footage shows Agent Ford blasting through an airport scenario and going for a quick ride on a subway to save what appears to be a pair of hostages from a horde of gun-tooting enemies.

High Voltage also confirmed ambient tunes composed by Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen.

We were very excited to get the chance to work with Rick on The Conduit. Even though he's known for driving rock guitar, he was able to provide great ambience and textural qualities that perfectly fits the mood of the game and helps it become a truly unique experience.

Oooh. It looks gooooood!

I can't really tell what they look like on my crappy monitor that doesn't properly display the colors anymore, but the train level reminds me of GOLDENEYE 007! Okay, maybe not 100%, because this is a commuter train and not a cargo type, but at least there is a train level...
BTW, when is The Conduit HVS interview? Tomorrow?

My Wii friend code: 6546-4207-4091-0847
Battalion Wars II code: 528-413-269-906
Super Smash Bros. Brawl code: 5327-2573-3138
Call of Duty:Worlda@War code: 2063-3472-6724

I've never noticed it until just now, but seeing the gun move around because of the Wii remote makes it seem more alive. Usually the gun just stays in one place on the screen. It's much nicer watching an FPS on a Wii.

I remember hearing something about health regenerating only in certain areas. The rest of the game is health pack based.

I've been waiting forever for this title. I'll be happy with it as long as the controls live up to expectations, which from all the info given they will.

I wonder when they'll show some multiplayer gameplay? I've been itching to see someSmilie

Shit that looks good, why didn't they show off these levels earlier? I'm thinking this could be the game Perfect Dark should have been.

Nah these are all new. The only other stuff we've seen so far is some underground place, DC, and the White House.

Edit- Whoops I misread your post... Didn't see the "why". My bad >.>

Looks a lot more fast paced and exciting. Just goes to show release a good trailer and you get people more interested. I think I will definately pick this up barring poor reviews from IGN and co.

Hope people buy and support this. They are a much smaller dev then most so need our backing.

I don't exactly know why, but this looks lots better than the previous movies.

I like that electric grenade launcher thingy from the second movie. Smilie

And "the game Perfect Dark should have been"? What was wrong with PD?

actually those aren\'t trailers they\'re gameplay cam footageSmilie

Also IGN have already given this game several awards; So their expectations are very high for this title(as are mine). I\'m not expecting bad reviews from them unless the game flops gameplay wise, which I don\'t see happening.

EDIT:
Here\'s the Awards Trailer in case you haven\'t seen the awards given by IGN and co.

If you haven't seen Gamespot's interview (it's more of a walkthrough really but whatever) you should go check it out. The art & creative director goes through a tutorial stage to show things off. It looks great!

Still seems to be a total lack of AI or challenge.

The enemy AI seems week. He just seems to be blasting through the levels. I hope the game will not be too easy and a couple hours play thing.
I will get it on pre order. Nice game.

On Gamespot he says that the he's playing on an easy difficulty level, so I'm sure that's the case for most of these videos. With all the effort they've put into this game, I doubt they'd send out a product with little to no challenge. Supposedly there are 5 difficulty levels, so they need to show us some of the harder stuff.

Wow, really is looking good. Definitely looking forward to this. Can't wait to see what the multiplayer modes are gonna be.

Looking really nice now. The character models especially look good. I'm pretty sure the AI is just set to really easy. They usually are on demos.

I'll probably get this for my birthday. If it actually comes out before then.
