So it's further in to the future than any Zelda before? And it looks like it's in Hyrule.

Looks great.

A bit starge me joking about a new zelda and this comes up? Smilie

A Train? A TRAIN???

This must be an April Fools.

I'm thoroughly disappointed.

I was hoping for swooshy-swooshy trains THROUGH THE AIR!And over water and stuffs,, Y'know? Spirit Tracks?Smilie

Nah, just kidding. I like the look of it, and I'm probably going to be getting it,, The only thing I dislike is the stupid Phantom Soldier. I hope we'll only be controlling/fighting one.. Always disliked the stealth dungeon in PH >=(

I hope the train get hijacked

the death spiral to all them 3rd parties lol

Looks like PH engine...which is fine, but also feels slightly rushed or even a spin-off..which is not.

Phantom Hourglass - boat + train isnt enough of a difference.

Incidently, I got no problem increaseing the tech in zelda...slightly...but would rather they head slightly steam-punkishh

Time peroid?

Anyway, looks ok. It's not exactly very Zelda-ish but as long as it's not as samey as Phantom Hourglass was it should turn out alright.

I quite like the look of it considering I only recently got into phantom hour glass Smilie

Well they did say they are working on a new zelda game never said the Wii

The name is a tentative title according to IGN...

It's basically a Hyrule based PH with a train instead of a steamboat. Why are people so mad about this?

u guys are DNA.

Looks ok. The thing that gets me is that they have ripped the character and enemy models straight from the first game (not for all) and it all looks so similar, the sides of the dungeons, the symbols on the floor. Theres no doubt it will be good (it is nintendo) but at the moment it looks way too 'samey'

they need to stop giving link vehicles. boats, trains, what\'s next, MOTORCYCLE!!! Seriously, just make the whole game steampunk awesome if you give him a train, then make it so you can choose to play with the D-Pad.

EDIT: It seems people didn\'t quite get what I mean. What I meant with the \"spot giving him vehicles\" thing is that they are taking away from the awesome exploration part. The boat was ok, but the train is on SET TRACKS (look at the top screen in the trailer) it\'s taking so much away from what makes a zelda game A ZELDA GAME. It\'s starting to turn into train tycoon, GTA, NFS, Mario Kart, things that zelda isn\'t supposed to be.

And the D-pad suggestion, well, I have alot of problems with phantom hourglass mistaking quick turns for sword slashes. D-pad implementation would be easy, D-pad=walk D-pad+R=run.

I vote a strong NO for D-Pad use.
Its not simply a mater of adding the option, it means you have to make all the landscape designed around that limited sort of motion. (ie, much much slower, and little diagonal or analogy motion expected).

Most importantly, the touchscreen worked so wonderfully for weapons...making old weapons behave in fresh ways allowing lots of new puzzles. (again, love the rope).

What I meant is for walking, I like weapons on the touchscreen, in PH I ended up using Action Replay to make the D-pad=running and it worked fine. I pretty much just want walking to be separated from the weapons.

REMAKE A LINK TO THE PAST - ENOUGH SAID.

No remakes... We need a direct sequel to it instead... or a direct sequel to Twilight Princess.

I have no clue why people are a bit miffed? Phantom Hourglass was a good game, and this seems like they'll do better.

All 2nd Zelda games in a generation have pretty much had similar sprites/designs - it's just easier that way.

This is going to keep me up all night trying to fit it into the Zelda timeline. Smilie

Wow! I like what I've seen, but why do the graphics not look as good as Phantom Hourglass did... Or is it just me? Smilie

You do use the D-pad in this one don\'t you??? at least thats what i can tell in the video. nevermind

Also, I don\'t think that is Hyrule I think that Link and Zelda finally found that new land, mentioned in WW, I think it might be a follow up to PH, because of the train.

I will be happy as long as there is no Dungeon that I have to visit multiple times. I personally got sick of that after the 3rd time going through it.

The train seems interesting but the Train Conductor outfit is way too cheesy for my tastes.

Finally, I also agree that the graphics look too similar. I was hoping for an upgrade.

Its because its harder to make stuff look good over land then water.

Ooo this might be the first handheld game I play in a very long time. Love the music in the trailer. Train is a nice twist.

I really liked using the touchscreen, it made that game different and was really intuitive to use.

As for the vehicle parts, I see no reason why Link can't have vehicles. It looks like this game is set further into the future with a different Link to the rest, besides the fact that it's the same character model.

Plus, Link having a motorcycle would be brilliant, we could have, Legend of Zelda: Hyrule City. Where all the provences become part of a big city, that gets taken over by an evil mayor who raises taxes and controls the people with a gas running through the sewers, and Link's the only one of a few not affected. With that in mind, Link could have both a sword and a sniper/shotgun combined with a grappling gun and grenades instead of bombs. I'm going too much into this so i'll keep all my thoughts inside my head now.

I dont think that I will be buying this straight away because I did not like PH. It was just a little bit easy and I have not played a lot of it since I have only finished the first doungen. I will have to see more screen shots and trailers before I make a solid opinion.

You have a point there JB, I mean another 3 yrs for another Zelda? It looks better than PH IMO, I wouldn't judge it from this, wait til we see more I say.

I was very skeptical of Link sailing a boat, was skeptical of the cartoon style and well, I ate my hat, with lots of inyourface sauce. Don't ditch it yet.
