As part of employee incentive plans to try and get out of trouble, it seems Midway is considering selling off Mortal Kombat.
The company have set a series of milestone goals in which $3,755,000 in bonuses have been set aside for upper management if met. How could nearly 4 million dollars mysteriously appear? According to Kotaku it comes from holding out on paying sacked employees the remainder of their personal time off.
One of the milestones was to offload Wheelman, which was recently nabbed by Ubisoft, but in order to truly survive it'll take a major sacrifice: Mortal Kombat. The plan notes an "execution of an asset purchase agreement for the sale of Midway's Mortal Kombat franchise assets", a bonus value of around $1,965,000.
