EA Set to Bring Cricket to Wii? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

One of the sports that has surprisingly yet to grace Wii is a proper cricket game. But EA could be about to right that wrong. In the past, EA's official cricket titles have proved very popular here in the UK, but nothing has ever landed on a Nintendo platform. Now that could be about to change as it has been spotted that 'Cricket 9' has been added to the Australian ratings board OFLC.

According to the listing, the game is currently a multiplatform project being developed by EA Canada, the group that worked on past entries.

Would you like to see a MotionPlus version of Cricket 9 on Wii, complete with Balance Board support?

Awesome if true. It's about time all the big sports franchises came to Wii, including NBA.

This could work very, very well, and be a good game for motion plus to be used.
1:1 bat controlls would be very satisfying to use.

what would the balance board be used for?

The right stance, altering the balance of the batter, for example.

I can't see the balance board working with it, simply because when you play cricket you move your feet forwards and backwards a lot and you tend to shift around both in your weight and your stance. The balance board is a bit small. Still, Wii Cricket would, if done well, be awesome Smilie
