The future of British publisher developer Eidos seems to lie in the hands of Warner and Square-Enix.
According to MCV, both publishers are ready to make multiple acquisition bids this month, with EA and Ubisoft also potential buyers. Warner already owns a 20% stake in the firm, and would need to spend approx $30 million to gain controlling interest, and $80 million for complete dominance.
Square Enix has shown interest with Yoichi Wada set to return to the UK to move a possible deal forward. Eidos's products seem to have strong Western appeal; something that the Japanese RPG giant has been keen to bring into its lineup.
