The first day sales of the latest Japanese releases have now been revealed and there has indeed been great success for the Nintendo DS version of Chrono Trigger, as well as Nintendo's Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City on Wii. Hopefully Square Enix will be able to get more copies of Chrono Trigger shipped out soon, as at its current rate most of the entire first shipment could be sold before the week is out. As for Animal Crossing, clearly Nintendo is expecting it to have huge chart legs, hence the massive shipment of around 800,000 units in total.
