Nintendo Getting Next DS Million Seller from Kirby? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The first day sales of Nintendo's latest Kirby game for the DS point towards it being the next DS million seller. Japanese blogger sinobi has revealed Famitsu's first day performance tracking for Kirby Super Star Ultra, a remake of the SNES collection of platform and Kirby-related mini-games.

It seems that game has sold a very impressive 160,000 units on its first day. To put this into perspective, Kirby Mouse Attack, which went on to be a million-seller in Japan, sold around half that amount on its first day. In fact, just look at the sales of the past two DS Kirby titles in Japan:

First Week | Total Sales

  • Kirby Mouse Attack - 151,147 | 1,095,781
  • Kirby Power Paintbrush - 72,102 | 315,211
As you can see, it seems pretty clear-cut that the Kirby franchise is simply going from strength-to-strength on DS so far and with the holiday period on the horizon, signs are pointing towards a Kirby rampage in Japan over the coming months!

Stick around to see just how well it does in the entire first week when the early Famitsu numbers are released on Wednesday...

The PINK GAY BALL is BANK BETCHES!! YATTAAA!!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Go Kirby! We never get tired of ya!
