The first day sales of Nintendo's latest Kirby game for the DS point towards it being the next DS million seller. Japanese blogger sinobi has revealed Famitsu's first day performance tracking for Kirby Super Star Ultra, a remake of the SNES collection of platform and Kirby-related mini-games.
It seems that game has sold a very impressive 160,000 units on its first day. To put this into perspective, Kirby Mouse Attack, which went on to be a million-seller in Japan, sold around half that amount on its first day. In fact, just look at the sales of the past two DS Kirby titles in Japan:
First Week | Total Sales
- Kirby Mouse Attack - 151,147 | 1,095,781
- Kirby Power Paintbrush - 72,102 | 315,211
Stick around to see just how well it does in the entire first week when the early Famitsu numbers are released on Wednesday...
