Richard Jacques, Tommy Tallarico Team up for Sonic Game

By Jorge Ba-oh 27.10.2008 5

Highly regarded composers Richard Jacques & Tommy Tallarico have been hard at work on an upcoming Sonic game.

Tommy Tallarico, co-founder of the now world-famous video games concert, Video Games Live, spoke of his forthcoming collaboration with Jacques whilst presenting the London show last Friday. He expressed his admiration for the British composer and confirmed that they are working together on music for a Sonic game.

Tallarico also nabbed a Guinness World Record, presented on the night, for producing music for the biggest amount of commercial titles: a whopping 266 video games since 1991.

Sonic Stadium had a chat at the after-show meet 'n' greet confirming that the pair are working on something but wouldn't yet disclose which one.

Unfortunately no Sonic themes were played during the show, despite having a huge applause last year.

Sonic Stadium says they're working on Black Knight. I dunno if that was misinformation or anything though.

Definitely a shame to hear there was no Sonic stuff. It almost makes me feel better about not being able to go. Smilie

Was there Final Fantasy and/or KH stuff though? D:

Sonic Stadium doesn't say they are as fact, but they do think it's Black Knight as that's the only Sonic game publically known to be in development (aside from Unleashed but as Unleashed is out so soon it's most likely Black Knight).

I was majorly pissed at the lack of Sonic songs, not even one. They played a load of FF and KH though which was a redeeming factor!

I'll be doing a write-up soon, need to nab some official pictures and media for it.

There's definitely a load on YouTube. The arrangements themselves are similar to previous years/other performances

Christ...it doesn't mean anything anymore. They're handing out Guiness World Records for everything now but jerking off!
Although I could be wrong about that one.
