Latest Nintendo DS & Wii Famitsu Reviews

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine has hit the streets in Japan, showing off the new review scores for the upcoming releases there, including My Sims Kingdom, the RPG from the makers of FFIII and FFIV DS remakes 'Avalon Code', plus the Square Enix duo of Valkyrie Profile (the third in the former Sony-exclusive RPG series) and Cid and Chocobo's Dungeon (a remake of the Wii game that hits Europe very soon).

  • Cid to Chocobo no Fushigi na Dungeon: Toki Wasure no Meikyuu + (NDS, Square Enix) - 8 / 8 / 8 / 8: 32/40
  • Dr. Slump & Arale-Chan (NDS, Bandai Namco) - 4 / 5 / 4 / 4: 17/40
  • Avalon Code (NDS, Marvelous) - 7 / 8 / 7 / 8: 30/40
  • Boku to Sim no Machi Kingdom (Wii, EA) - 7 / 8 / 7 / 7: (29/40)
  • Yes! Precure 5 Go Go Zenin Shu Go! Dream Festival (NDS, Bandai Namco) - 7 / 6 / 6 / 5: 24/40
  • Valkyrie Profile: Toga o Seoumono (NDS, Square Enix) - 8 / 8 / 8 / 8: 32/40
  • Vitamin Y (NDS, D3) - 6 / 6 / 6 / 7: 25/40
But will the scores effect their respective chart performances? All will be revealed in the weekly Media Create charts over the coming weeks...

Hmm, pretty average scores all round. Good to see VP doing decently, but man some pretty low results in general this week.

I'm definitely looking forward to Avalon Code, I've yet to play Chocobo Dungeon on Wii, but apparently this one has a lot more added in so that can't be bad...and I love the previous two VP games, so am eagerly awaiting this as well.

Purely because the first CD on PSone broke a million, its sequel did well over 500,000...then the 10th Anniversary project on Wii was last seen at just over the 70,000 unit mark after Christmas.

Time to recoup the dev costs via DS! Smilie

S-E remaking a Wii game on DS (WTF) just proves even more to me how much they hate the Wii...
