I guess everyone has that game they can always simply go back to an play every so often. Typical games for me is Ocarina of Time, Super Mario World, Mario Brothers 3... But there's a game I wonder and actually worry if I'll ever get over. Not like it's taken over my life or anything, but I find it high addictive and I'm always going back to it: Skyrim.
This game is just so fun! You really can do what you want, adventure, screw people over, help people, fail quests because they get boring. Whatever! Caves, Watch Towers, Dungeons, WHATEVER are always being renewed. You can venture through certain areas that you found a lot of goodies in (ores to make metals for smithing, potions, cheese wheels!) and get them all over again withtin a certain time frame. Sometimes it seems like new bandits are taking over the area. There are unlimited places to go without there being a quest for it. It's just sub quest galore! I love it.
I've beat the main story once, but I just start over and do random adventuring or quests that I didn't do before (or I do the same ones because they're so fun). But I'm always starting over in that game until I get bored and do something else for a couple of months. I should really just burn that game because chances are I'll just find myself playing it again.
Does anyone else have games like that too?
I've always been a Nintendo fan more than anything else, even despite owning all other systems and loving them greatly. However, Nintendo is really good at giving me gray hairs. D: They always come out with something absolutely wild, and sometimes they don't end up that bad. But I'm having so many doubts about this Expansion Slide Pad! Especially with the rumors claiming that a new exclusive 3DS will be revealed having the extra analog.
I recently got my issue of Game Informer and starting reading the news about how the 3DS is doing. I bought it brand new, and this price cut was such a heavy crush to my heart. What sounded even worse to me was that "the move sparked a drop in the company's stock price, a pay cut for Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata and other executives..." All I can say is: Wow. I regret selling my DSi XL. Sure I own Ocarina of Time and who knows if Majora's Mask will ever go through (I even signed the petition), but I'm at the point of selling this cursed thing! I miss the little features that the DSi had that the 3DS got rid of! :/
As it says in the article, wasn't the fact that this new handheld played in 3D suppose to be the selling point? And if they really sell this rumored 3DS, will the price remain the same or just go back up to original pricing it started with? I mean, sure there's some great games coming out, but why aren't there some out even now? I mean, I waited FOREVER for Twilight Princess to come out on Gamecube: from when they announced it in High School til it's release during my college years ALONGSIDE the debut for the Wii. Great, now I had to get a new system too (good thing it played my GC games). Now how long has the Wii been out for this next Zelda installment? I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out WITH the Wii U as well!
Sorry, I'm just on a rant here. Nintendo you're breaking my heart. I have more to say, but I think I'll shut up now. ;3

I'm not always around due to work, but I really do love this place. I miss blogging, I miss posting on forums... I work from 1430 to 2300 in the evening. My days off consist of me resting and catching up on little things, but I always try to find some time to come online and maybe do a quick doodle on an Oekaki Board. I came home a little late last night, 0100 in the morning. D: But I played Xbox Live for the first time until 0300, and I had the most fun ever! I suck at Black Ops so far, but I plan to get better. I never would have seen myself with an Xbox, but my brother bought the Gears of War 3 edition and gave me and my roommate Liz his old one. So we bought the first Gears of War, which we're currently playing as well. Anyway, this was fun! ;D Adios!
