Rising Star Games Aims for Bumper 2010 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

With 2009 already including some big hits, Rising Star Games is looking to an even better 2010. The publisher has seen the likes of Luminous Arc 2 (DS), Ju-On: The Grudge (Wii), Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Wii), Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility (Wii) and Little King's Story (Wii) land in PAL territories this year.

In the First Quarter of 2010 alone there is PSP RPG Half-Minute Hero, DS puzzler Animal Kororo and Way Of The Samurai 3 " a Gamebridge title for 360 and PS3, all coming in February. Then in March there is what should be deemed as 'RPG Month', with Matrix Software's Avalon Code (DS), My World My Way (DS), Rune Factory Frontier (Wii) and the highly anticipated Wii adventure 'Fragile Dreams' from tri-Crescendo (check out Cubed3's interview with the team here).

"With seven games released from February to April, we’re about to embark on Rising Star Games’ busiest period to date. It’s a real case of quality and quantity. With Fragile Dreams, Half-Minute Hero and our first PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 titles, it’ll be a brilliant start to what will be our best year ever."
- Martin Defries, COO of Rising Star Games.

Other games that we can look forward to in 2010 are Climax's RPG 'Steal Princess' (DS) and Arc Rise Fantasia (Wii) from imageepoch, as well as Grasshopper's No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle (Wii), and no doubt a few other nice surprises!

Fragile! Smilie

It\'s one of my most anticipated Wii games, along with No More Heroes 2.

Rising Star Games are becoming one of my favourite publishers in recent times.

Wasn\'t Arc Rise Fantasia due to be released in Europe in early 2010 as well ? Or maybe it was pushed back... either way, 2010 looks like it\'ll be an even bigger year than 2009 for the Wii.

Meanwhile, i\'m enjoying Muramasa (along with Darkside Chronicles Smilie) which is awesome. And i\'ve yet to finish Litlle King\'s Story.

Well no more heroes 2 is a day one purchase for me Smilie

Though the real point of the matter is, everyone of you should buy little king's story. Twice, preferably. That game is so incredibly awesome...

But there's also its availability. I really wanted to buy little king's story, but it was so, sooooo hard to get by. Rising star should check their availability rates on these awesomely good games. I like how they dare to take on original and a variety of concepts as a publisher, but I really don't like how small their presence is on shop shelves...

And while we're talking Rising Star support, everyone should buy Muramasa! HMV got it in stock and apparently it's not selling too badly. It's also really awesome and it looks gorgeous.

Buy it.

That's the best ten spent ever. Impossible to get more value for money if they throw a house with it!
