Hotel Dusk Sequel Confirmed: Last Window on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Last week's trademark uncovering has been confirmed as the sequel to the much loved Hotel Dusk - Last Window: Midnight Promise.

Yes Dusk fans, our favourite ex-cop turn salesman makes a return to the DS in another graphical adventure set in 1980s Los Angeles - supposedly a year after the events of the original. Titled "Last Window: Mayonaka no Yakusoku", the game is set to release in Japan on January 14, 2010.

There might even be a cross-over with Another Code at some point in the future if CiNG producer Takuya Miyagawa is to be believed:

Personally, I'd like to see an older Kyle Hyde, all sobered up and acting cool, have an encounter with a grown-up Ashley who is much more positive than when she is just a young girl.

I frigging love this game, so much so that I logged in after 2 years or so of inactivity just to say it! Smilie

If there was a cross over, I'd worry that Ashley would be another Mila figure but I don't know her character enough to be sure. Hurray for Kyle Hyde Smilie

I stopped eating to post this Smilie ! Dusk's an awesome, awesome game - hopefully the old characters will make appearances somehow. Bit worried how they'd top it tho, the whole hotel, single setting made the game so appealing.

Kyle hyde would have to be quite a bit older, becuase the technology thats around in AC DS/R is quite advanced.... Smilie Kyle would be like 80.

I keep meaning to get the first game and I just can\'t find it anywhere. It has everything I want in a game, detectvives, puzzles and investigations. I will have to get it because of the second one just been anounced.
