Advance Wars 2

Can anyone recommend me this game. Is it better than the first? I had AW1 but I sold it because it was too hard for me at the time. I've heard AW2 is a bit easier. Is this true?

Any other information is appreciated.

I've played it, it's marginally easier than the origional, but it doesn't improve much. It's more of an AW1.5 than 2. There are new COs and new terrain features (Volcanos *boom*) and a much better plot than the origional. It's a good game, so I recomend it. Also if you have a bit of money left over get Fire Emblem for the GBA as well. It's as good as if not better than AW.

Its still bloody hard!

Get AW2 and Fire Emblem, they're some of the best GBA games.

GET "METROID FUSION"....ONE IF NOT THE BEST GBA GAME....

I recommend AW2, very much so. Very fun and quite addictive.
I would also recommend Metroid Fusion, it's fantastic, one of the best metroid games i have played. I shoudn't have sold it.
Fire Emblem is also a must, i think it is better than AW.
Basically, try to get all these 2nd hand for a low price

Its gotta be my favourite gba game
but then I loved the first as well.
I don't think its any easieer than the first

if you're not into that sort of game, then get Metroid fusion, Minish Cap, and the Golden sun games

AW2 is blissful. Amazingly well balanced, you never feel cheated when you lose, just determined to hone your tactics and try again.

As said above. Advance wars 2 is the crem 'de le crem

I'm p*ssed off with it at the moment because I spent about 3 hours yesterday figuring out a route to victory on one of the levels. Only to have my plans squashed litraly a couple of turns away from a win.

But you gotta love it.

I've been reduced to screaming in anger because of it. Launching huge offensives only for them to be defended easily and your left with trying to defend with virtually nothing.

I highly recommend Metroid Zero Mission. I could never get into the original Metroid because it was just stupidly unfair and difficult. However, MZM is much easier (although there are 3 difficulty modes) and I loved it.

As brilliant as Fire Emblem is it fucks it up on the characters. Because of the way the system works, each unit is a character, they have their own plots, they level up and can be upgraded but once they're dead they're dead and the damn game autosaves after every turn just to make sure. You can easily go through an entire level and loose one right at the end and because you'll be damned if you let one of your guys die you have to restart the entire sodding mission.

Advance Wars wasn't that hard, surely? I just make it up as I go along....anyway, Advance Wars 2 is pretty much more of the same, and other than Metroid (Fusion too hard...? Some places are hard, but keep at it!) I'd get Golden Sun.

I have actually been looking around for Zero Mission after selling Fusion since i had already completed it. It's too expensive everywhere and if i were to get it, im not sure if it's worth the money if it's short.

As Lowe said, AW2 = AW1.5, really. I can't wait for AWDS, though! I need to go change...
