I should really have read through this all but I'll work with what I've got:
Are gamecube fans slowly slipping to xbox?
No. Without a doubt in my mind the answer to your first question is no.
I for one am getting more and more tempted to buy an xbox.I am quite frankly fed up about worrying about Nintendo as they slip down the home console ranks and the way people accuuse the gc of being rubbish and havin to defend myself
Correct me if I'm wrong, and I mean no offence, but your at school yeah?
Your problem, and the GC's problem ONLY IN THE UK, is that our school children play games as much to be cool as they do to play games itself.
Somewhere and somehow the GC has been labelled as uncool in the UK to a massive detrimental effect for what is the best console.
Kids in the playground are obsessed with what's the current fad, if someone deems the GC to be uncool or 'rubbish' (both ludicrously wrong statements) then many misinformed people wont buy the GC or sell their current one.
This situation is plainly wrong but happens here in the UK for some odd reason.
Thankfully the GC is still recognised for its games and quality in the rest of the world, where people aren't such sheep as to listen to what their peers tell them.
Due to this wee see the GC being loved across Europe in Germany, France, Italy, Greece and all other European countrys where quality counts not 'fads' - and safe to say the GC is in the driving position ahead of XBOX.
And of course our friends accross the water in the good ole US of A love the GC because it's a great system regardless of what people have labelled it in some rival magazine/site.
And well, in the land of the rising sun, the home of gaming, just look how well they've taken to this new system. The XBOX will be lucky to sell 30, 000 units this year!
Anyway to sum up, no Nintendo fan would move to the XBOX, plainly because they are Nintendo fans. Yes some may buy an xbox for some reason, maybe the only possible and good one would be if they had a poor spec PC and wanted to play the FPS's or wanted a broader range of 3rd party games - that's about it. And to add to this, I'll go back:
I am quite frankly fed up about worrying about Nintendo as they slip down the home console ranks and the way people accuuse the gc of being rubbish and havin to defend myself
If this is your motivation to get an xbox, have a another look at your motivations. You'll find they are a bit daft.
1. Worried about Nintendo as they slip down the console ranks.
Where, there is a nice little flux between the GC and XBOX between 2nd, don't listen to anyone that says the XBOX is in second - it's not true!
2. You would change console because of what other people think - this baffles me.
You have the GC - yes. You obviously like the GC - yes. I'm sure you recognise Nintendo still make the best games - yes? So why would you ditch it just from what a few narrow minded fools think!
In fact the next time one of these fools says the GC is 'rubbish' you should just look them in the eye, burst out laughing turn and walk away lauging and shaking your head!!
