I'm looking for someone. A guy named SilvaGunner (or SilvaGunner2, SilvaGynnwr).
He was a Youtube star with the uploading of his video game music. When I first saw his video promoting this site, I came here and joined. However, I'm not too active 'cause it's not like any other forum I'm on.

That's all besides the point. SilvaGunner, if you read this, please respond!

You're truly missed on Youtube and I would simply love, after clicking on a video game music video, the feeling of when I look up to see who posted it, your name was there!

Your missed!

Peace and love!

Well, you're in luck, because here I am!

At the time of making the videos I preferred to keep my identity elsewhere private, but since it's been banned now, there's no harm.

I enjoyed everything about YouTubing back in the day, but it slowly got really demanding and I lost time to keep up with it. Once I lost the account that was it. I had no desire to start again. It was really good fun whilst it lasted, though, and the amount of support was breathtaking.

Thanks for asking for me! Glad to know the video advertising C3 works :]

There's a guy on Youtube called GilvaSunner who's trying to take up Az's mantle. Check him out if you're looking for a substitute, it obviously won't be the same but it's better than nothing. I don't think he uploads anything outside of Nintendo though.

Yeah, GilvaSunner is a tribute to SG, which I approved of. Was nice that he asked me before going ahead with it.

I had a bit of a problem when I got banned with some foreign person calling themselves SilvaGunners, and attempting to take the credit for my previous work. Was a nightmare trying to sort it out, and so many fans were led astray by him/her. Luckily, he sort of gave up trying in the end and his channel is pretty much dead now.

Not surprised you had impostors, didn't you have like 70,000 subscribers?

Yep, over 7000 vids and 3 millions channel hits. The popularity just grew quickly, pretty much from word of mouth. It was amazing seeing it happen. Will never forget the support from the fans. Really wish I could go back to do it again for them, but just not possible now. At the height of my YouTube 'fame' I was able to bring in a lot of new members for C3, which was great. Not many stuck around till today, but it definitely helped at the time. Really wish more people would see the C3 video and come join.

I found Cubed3 because of you.

So, cheers.

You'd think that with that many subscribers and viewers that games companies (Square-Enix in particular) would see it as an opportunity to sell games directly to viewers who enjoy the music by getting youtube to insert a link or annotation on the page somewhere instead of just shutting it down completely. I'd wager that more than a few people went and got the game after enjoying the music it was for.

They'll have a fight on their hands if they go for the ones I've posted up, that's for sure.

I thought I'd lose all trace of you. No, I'm not looking for a substitute, there's no such thing.

I've read up on your website too. I guess since nostalgia has finally hit me, I've decided to go back and re-live a certain part of my e-life.

Thank youfor everything. I've been registered on here for quite some time now, as I stated, though, it's nothing like the other forums I go to.

There's nothing else to say except thank you for that part of my life.

I hope one day you'll return to Youtube, if not uploading vgm then maybe some other field.

Thank you for responding.

Smilie

It's those kinds of messages that kept me going. Really appreciate it, and I'm glad to have played a part in making you happy.

That site is a bit dated now, but it serves its purpose well enough. I'm still on YouTube, but not in a big uploading type of way (see sig). I just fave a lot of stuff instead and upload the odd random vid here and there. More of a personal channel than anything else.

Well either way, I'm glad you're still around. That video of Cubed3 was a bit old so I thought I'd misseed you.
