survival horrors

sup everyone, I couldn't get onto TGN so I thought I'd join here, some of you may know me, some of you may not, anyway onto the topic...

Do you think survival horrors are growing or falling in popularity?
The gamecube is suddenly releasing all the resident evils, then correct me if I'm wrong, after these there will be no more resident evil games?
Make sure to get the resident evil series!

It seems to me that everyone made a HUGE deal about the Resi remake, but after that, it seems people got bored of the Resi series. Resi 2 and 3 didn't do the series ANY good on their GC outings.

Hi C_I and welcome. Never played any Resi games but I think that may well change. Love ED though (not finished it yet) and could bore for England on why Shadowman is so wonderful (if not exactly survival horror).

I think it's a shame that they never brought Silent Hill to the gamecube, as the original was the scariest game I've ever played and the second one was good on the demo. I'm gonna get the directors cut on the PS2 as soon as it's out, and yes, I *do* think the Gamecube is better than the PS2, way better.

Silent Hill 3 may be coming out on the GC...

Being a HUGE survival horror fan i have prayed every day (well not really) for silent hill on gc. where did you hear this JEBUS.

Jebus is probably working for Konami and is trying to speculate about Silent Hill to increase its sales.

According to Game spot Silent Hill is coming out...wait for it.. in Europe first!!!

Konami reveals plans to release Silent Hill 3 in Europe before Japan and North America.

Konami of Europe has announced that Silent Hill 3 will be released in Europe on May 23, before the release of the North American and Japanese versions of the game. In Silent Hill 3, players take control of a woman named Heather, who ventures through a town only to find that it's being overrun by a group of incredibly strange creatures. The development team has constructed an entirely new engine for the game that has enabled them to construct highly detailed character models and environments. The game also features proprietary audio technology that mimics the surround sound experience.
Silent Hill 3 is scheduled for release in North America in August.

Yep i love survival horror games at the moment i am playing Resident Evil again it's so scary i like to make me jump i hate it when they become stronger and faster you just got to run. Hopefully when march the 7th comes i am hoping to get Resident Evil Zero is going to be great.

I enjoyed the RE remake but the control system did my head in after a few hours and i have never gone back to it since, i also love shadow man, a much underated classic, and all for

Like many people I enjoy a good survival horro game, and found resident evil remake to be very enjoyable. I have been a keen fan of the series since the psone debut. Remake did bring about some great improvements, most noteably the great graphics. Also the crimson heads where a great touch, adding extra fear and intensity to the gameplay.

Can't wait til march 7th to get zero and find out how it all began. Scary stuff

Never used to be in to survival horror until i played ED. Then after that i bought resi remake. and now as soon as i get

ED was the only horror game i enjoyed that i have played so far

Somehow i enjoyed Alone in The dark 4. not a bad game at all i say give it a try!

I currently own ED and the JPN version of RE (recently purchased from ebay). I have a copy of the US RE0 on route to me (arriving on Monday).

Have to say that I love the survival horror genre and can't wait to play RE0.

regarding shadow man, it depends on the version, the playstation one was dodgy and pretty sheet, although the dreamcast version was good

Survival Horror is a decent genre.
The Resi Evil series is decent, but i was disappointed that Capcom didn't remake 2 & 3 as they look out of place. Resi Evil 2 especially, which i think is the best of the series. However, i also think a game like ED injected some much needed refreshing ideas into the genre-what with its Psychlogical take, and less all out guns blazing action. I hope this genre continues- but it does need new ideas like in ED to keep it....fresh-unlike undead zombies...cough puke....

I've never really taken to the Resi series, mainly because of the controls and camera positions. The same thing put me off the Parasite Eve games as well...Let's hope Parasite Eve Rebirth changes the mould...
