super mario galaxy 2

how good do you think the new super mario galaxy will be?
better? worse?

I know loads of people were disappointed with the announcement, but personally it\'s easily in my top 5 anticipated Nintendo titles, (behind Pokémon HG/SS, Golden Sun DS and Metroid: Other M )

I think it\'ll be better, especially if it\'s harder. Also, Yoshi!
Although I can\'t say I\'m ecstatic about Miyamoto\'s idea for a \"brilliant story\" involving a blonde and a cake.

I haven\'t heard really anything about super mario glaxy 2 but I know that there will be one, and that there is yoshi in the game and I think they may bring mario\'s blanket into the new game so yeah it will be better, but a bit harder is what I think!

Honestly didn't love the first Galaxy. Undeniably a great game, and I enjoyed it...but...just didn't feel as good as Sunshine/64 to me. I don't think I really liked all the small fragmented worlds, I prefer big ones I can explore with lots to do in like Sunshine/64. The worlds didn't feel quite as varied as in previous games either. I'm still looking forward to it though, it's in my top 5 anticipated titles too. Agree with SuperLink though, Pokémon HG/SS, Golden Sun DS and Metroid: Other M (and NSMB Wii for me too) all come first.

Honestly I think E3 was amazing this year, it's been soooo long since I had a good list of games to look forward to, and now there's loads from both Nintendo and Microsoft. I can't look forward to Sony stuff yet, PS3 still too expensive.

Certainly don't understand why anyone would be actually disappointed by the announcement of Galaxy 2. It's the first time that more than one main stream Mario title has been released on a home console since the NES. That's something fairly exciting if you ask me.

I hope the Red Star powerup is used more widely in Galaxy 2. With that there would be no need for a cape or Wing Cap.

When you say Mario's blanket do you mean his cape?

Yeah, definitely, the Red Star powerup was one of the best things in Galaxy, and it was barely used. And there was no flight at all in Sunshine. In fact it's probably the abundance of Wing Caps that makes Mario 64 my favourite Mario game. ^_^

More games need flight items, they're so damn cool. At least bring back Zelda's Roc's Feather/Cape.

I hope they have it so that the final boss isn't bowser I am tired of bowser they should make it an evil allien or something with bowser as his sidekick

And even though you couldn\'t fly in Sunshine, the Jet Boost was pretty awesome sometimes.

EDIT: Miyamoto will be heading the project, of course Bowser will kidnap Peach and be the main boss.

I reckon that it'll be great. The story doesn't really bother me. All I care about is new, immersive and challenging gameplay. And now there's Yoshi, and he'll have more use than in sunshine by the looks of the trailer at E3.

Still, i'm sure (or atleast hope) 2010 will be full of great games. Announced yet or not.

I'd prefer to see the raccon suit rather than the cape.

This'll probably be the better game. It's got Yoshi in it which is the best thing about the game.

Also, since the game uses the engine and assets from the first game, that means that Nintendo are able to focus on level design.

I would have prefered a Super Mario Sunshine 2 but thi'll do until the next Mario on the Wii2.

They can\'t do the Raccoon Suit in 3D, \'cause if they did, it would obviously be the best game ever. Then they\'d be forever cursed with \"Oh, the new Mario game isn\'t that great, the one with the 3D Raccoon Suit was better.\" Every Mario game after that would pale in comparison, and Mario would go the way of Sonic.

If they did the Frog Suit in 3D, the awesomeness density would create a small black hole and destroy Earth.

I\'d definitely like to see some bigger worlds mixed into this game. Mario Galaxy was excellent and imaginative, but the environments were usually quite small. That\'s just my preference though, I like big worlds to explore too.

Either way it\'ll be a amazing game just like the first.

Yeah I don't think bigger "stage like" worlds are impossible, even with the whole "WE MUST MAKE INNOVATIVE WORLDS" thing going on.

I'd like to see a mix of crazy spherical planet hopping, and huge planets that can take up the majority of a stage (we had a few in Galaxy, like the Fire/Ice world)

I want to see harder bosses where you die excleast once, somewhat changed controls, and THE CAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ability to dive.... I really miss that

Along with the Raccon Suit and other crap they SHOULD put in but, I'd Doubt that

If they could do one thing about SMG2, I really, really hope they fix the swimming in the game. It's quite broken.

It's a sequel to an excellent game, so as long as Nintendo don't make any huge fuck-ups, it should be a great game.
