i dont like the fact that im seeing GC games on the Wii. i played all those games back when they were released the first time. adding a new control scheme doesent justify it for me. £29! thats £10 less than what they were originally retailing for.

does anybody else think that nintendo are using this "play on Wii" range as a substiute for the lack of "hardcore" games?

wind waker and super mario sunshine and luigi's mansion these three games should 100% come back to the wii

Well, these games aren't for me and you, they're for those that didn't own a Gamecube. I can't defend the pricing, but at the very least it's made clear that they are ports.

^^ but they are already on Wii, for alot cheaper than £30. granted they dont have Wii controls but if the controls were good enough then, they should be good enough now.

True, but most of them are rare and expensive. The New Play Control version of Chibi-Robo will undoubtedly be cheaper than what the GC version is going for now.

so true, but from what i have read in this thread seems like alot of people who have played these games b4 would be suckered into purchasing the same game for \"waggaly\" controls, its silly

games like chibi robo i can understand, they came late in the GC life cycle and deserve a re-release but games like mario tennis, Wind Waker dont need it

I think maybe Wind Waker should be left as is...unless they're going to add more content to it or something...adding the occasional waggle to it is only going to tarnish it D;

Instead give a new Zelda!
One that's is totally different to all the previous ones Smilie

Avoid Games Like the Plague, productivity++

They got it wrong.... sigh* dont re release the same game make a sequel.. don't cheap out Nintendo!!

Sales of Jungle Beat, Pikmin and Mario Tennis in Japan so far would say otherwise. All are between 100,000 and 200,000 units so far. Easy money for Nintendo, whilst keeping the fan base happy, whether us stalwart Nintendo fans agree with the idea or not.

The Wii audience consists of more people that did NOT own a GC than did, especially in Japan where the GC died FAR earlier than in the West. Those non-GC owners will not be able to find old GameCube games because Second Hand shops are not as popular in Japan. As for over here, usually the only way to get GC games is via eBay or Amazon's Marketplace...again, not a normal route for the new Wii audience.

Suck it up folks, this isn't aimed primarily at us. If anything appeals to us 'core' gamers, then it's merely a bonus sale for Nintendo.

am i the only person who thought luigis mansion was a pile of shite? it was too short (6 hours is NOT a game its a joke) and it was way too repetitive

Smilie! I really liked it. It took me a decent amount of time to get to the end (not a long game by any means, but I never understood the "This game is far too short" claims.)

The best bit was snagging onto a ghost and moving both the sticks about to start sucking it in whilst the ghost started furiously moving about- really good fun!

I've wanted Luigi's Mansion for ages. Just waiting until it slips below the £15-mark.

Why is 6 hours not a game? Why does something have to be 20, 30, 40 hours+ to be a game?

As a launch title it may not have been the massive Mario 128 people wanted, but it never presented itself as that. Value for money isn't only measured by-the-hour.

Less posty, more gamey.

I'd like sequels more of course, but wind waker was absolutely fantastic. And I loved Luigi's Mansion.

More. More of it. More of it all.

Definitely agree. It served its purpose very well indeed, not pretending to be anything other than a tasty morsel of an adventure.

I'm really surprised it never got a sequel, to be honest. It seemed perfectly suited to the Wii motion controls.

against my better judgement, i picked a copy of this game up from the market and loaded it up on the wii earlier...suffice to say it feels a lot better the 2nd time round, i guess i just didnt (no pun intended) enter into the spirit of the game, i wouldnt say its my favourite but i'm glad i gave it another chance and revisited it, so thank you to thecheese and dartmonkey for making me realise the error of my ways

I would love a new Luigi's Mansion for Wii. Gamecube game was a blast -- one of the few console games I've gone through several times. Fun fun fun.

yeah luigis mansion is a good game, bit short tho. i remember on the same day i brought the game i completed it twice and took it back for rogue squadron. a sequal should at least be twice as long.

Luigis mansion would be great. Also, maybe an online version of the Zelda 4 swords?

No, Luigi's Mansion was awesome. End of discussion 8)

Trying to think of a witty signature after 'Hacker-gate'...

I think it would be great if Beyond Good and Evil got a re-release, but maybe that's just me being a fanboy. It was under-appreciated at the time, and maybe it would be a good marketing idea with BG&E2 currently in development.

I will definately buy Luigi\'s Mansion and maybe Mario Sunshine, because the Wii controls for those games would be good and suit the Wii well.

Melee with online would be nice lolz
In all honesty I couldn't really care less what they bring out, unless they decide to remake Resident evil 2 and 3 and bring em out for wii Smilie

Nintendo Network ID: LKR000               PSN: LKR000
3DS: 1246-8696-120                              GT: LKR101

Luigi's Mansion revamp would be highest on my list. Love to play that game with nunchuck and remote

I really don\'t want them to go overboard with the NPC! games; I mean already I\'m starting to feel like they\'re using them as an excuse to churn out less hardcore games. With titles like 1080, I\'d love it with balance board, but I want a new 1080 title. Avalanche was tiny, had very limited multiplayer, and took less than a day to finish. Is a new one really too much to ask for?
