I mostly agree. Although I have to admit that, I owned all the fifth and sixth generation consoles.

I know not everyone can afford multiple consoles, but the 360 a little over 200 and the PS3 not much more I believe, why not just get one of them and stop worrying about all this shit on the Wii.
I'm not sure it's that simple, man. 200 is a lot of dosh for a console for most people. Most of the people here are kids, who rely on their folks for consoles. Most parents don't really like spending hundreds of pounds a pop on games consoles. A lot of parents can only just about afford to every few years or so. To people who fall into this category, they're pretty much stuck with the one they've got, which if it's a Wii, means they're fucked.
Why not consider an old PS2? You can get them pre-owned for peanuts. I don't have any of the current gen consoles, and I'm really not yearning for any of them. The games are cheap as chips, more amazing hardcore games than you shake a stick at, and the graphics are basically as good as Wii. It's no further really than from PS2 to GC. Not to mention that a PS2 is a required item in any proper gamer's collection.
I'd gladly sell my crappy Wii for a PS2 if I had to. Way better games, way better choice of games, prices = win (I've been buying PS2 games for like 2 of Play.com recently), and you won't regret it. The 'rents can't complain if they didn't have to pay for it, and you'll be happier. I reckon with Wii's being hard to get hold of, a Wii with a few games is sure to get bought for a couple hundred at least, with which you could buy a blinging little PS2 collection.
My stack of 23 PS2 games probably cost me 100 or so, at most. 100 would only get you two, maybe three Wii games. Fuck that shit!
