Well it is a bit of a bludgen, but I find it a bit perplexing as to why they have made such a decision. The fact of the matter is that whilst Eidos are a major company for other platforms they have not really ever looked at the GameCube with any real conviction, in fact they have mostly ignored the purple box from the Big N. Sure they published TS2, but nothing else springs to mind...not to me anyway.
The main part of my negative reaction to this is EA's continued dedication to the Nintendo cause, they have gone on the record saying Nintendo are a very exciting plans with ideas they are 'impressed' with and 'want to be a part of' so surely Iwata-san and Co. must be doing something right. Just like Acclaim had cold feet a few weeks ago it would appear that another financially 'on the edge' company cannot take the risk of suppoting a platform that they see to be, and I quote 'a declining' one. Ah well, your views?
