Sounds good, but, how many projects are they currently working on? Hope they're not overdoing it..

I would imagine (or hope) that they would finish sadness first.
Unless they all have 8 arms and are better than 3 multi tasking women combined.
Nibris is actually an alien and/or mutant race
Relax "The children of the night" is already in concept stadium. Sadness creative team almost finish their work with Sadness and this is why they've just started new project.
Wii team work only on Sadness.
One of DS team will finish one of our project very soon ant then will start this game.
We already working only on: ROTR and Double Bloob (DS) and Sadness (Wii) and of course for "The children of the night" concept.
Regards
Yeah, how can such a small team be working on so many projects?....well if this is going to be like Sadness then i'm slightly excited...but we still don't know anything about this or sadness.

Megadan pwned me twice.
Yeah, nibris is right: It's ideal to concept first game before doing one stroke on graphics and code. And when done with designing game 1, better start of designing game 2. Creative team ist always one game ahead. We hear from games only when they are done till a certain state - some basics, graphics, maybe screenshots or even trailers done. Nibris announces them a bit earlier.
But they seem to work as software companies should work... kind of seldom. *lol*
A portable horror game? I'd imagine it's much more difficult to create the same kind of atmosphere on-the-go than in it is in a dark room in front of a television.
Wait, so does this mean Sadness was canned?
NO! Sadness is on track for Q4 2008, possibly early 2009
Nibris:
Please, please, work hard to release Sadness! And all of your games. I will buy them all! I'm serious. Good luck and my best wishes.
Children of the Night is more realistic to be finnished to a high standard, and thus help raise funds for Sadness.
I think Sadness needs long development time, imho.

Well, you'll have an opportunity to judge that at E for All (new video plus in-game footage)
I wonder if Children of the Night is the Wiiware game they mentioned before ?? If it has a story as engrossing as Sadness, this should be a fascinating game for DS :cooldude:

Oh, good!
I have an interest in the human mind, and the mental illness theme really made me excited for it. I'm glad it's still on track...even though it'll take a while.

I'll believe it when I see it. I can't take these announcements for more than vaporware until I see some results.
Vapourware? And yet you know for a fact I've personally played both Double Bloob and ROTR on DS...
Remember, Nibris has previously stated it might bring Bloob Karts to WiiWare as well as DS in the future. There's lots in the pipeline from the company.
I have an easier time believing that those games exist. It's mostly Sadness that gets touted over and over and we still havn't seen ANYTHING. I've been hearing about it for over a year.
Due to the amateur marketing and lack of any details on a publisher, I'm going to assume that these games are going to be be sold unlicensed, by mail order.

'The Children of the Night'
Great, on the evidence of Dementium Ward and how well it uses the DS this kind of title on the DS could be very good.{LS]
I thought Sadness was cancelled.
At this point. It might has well have been.
Women of the Night = prostitutes. Children of the Night = little prostitutes. Very odd title indeed...
The Children of the Night?? Why am I getting a Castlevania vibe...weird.
Anyway, Nibris, what the hell. We've got nothing on Sadness! Give us more please! PLEASE! Even a five second footage! I just want to see the game!
xeke, these games take a veeeery long time to built up to a state where you actually can show anything - be it graphics, sound or actual gameplay. It's 'easy' to built a prototype, which explains the gameplay, that only takes a year or so. But it looks utterly rubbish, evil graphics and stuff. So something worth presenting to the audience is very, very hard.
Remember, that demo for Windwaker took more people to make then Nibris probably employ at a whole. And Windwaker itself was in development for 4 years. I do not think Sadness will be any smaller in development. Give them time. The only difference of nibris to other developers is, that they announce their games relatively early on.
And I hope they earn a lot of money with their DS games, which only take a limited amount of money and time to make, to make Sadness a really good one. Remember, they have this RPG in development or concept. I saw a small demo and graphics looked not better then N64, because you have to work a lot to make good ones.
/edit: it is possible to built great atmosphere on DS, I played Another Code and was taken aback how lonely and deeply nauseated I got while playind this game. I hope they achieve something similar with this horror game.
Thumbs up, nibris!
