Is dat sum bullet time?
Looking great as per usual.
Yup, well spotted
HA! Still showing this shit?
You're going to see a LOT more of it very soon...

Good! It's about time we've had some more solid stuff from them. To be honest, ROTR has slowly been slipping in anticipation for me, simply because it feels like its been forever since we've received anything substantial.
But yep, the video is looking and sounding great. They really seem to be a talented bunch.
Yeah, it looks nice, need to add sound effects now. Hopefully it'll be multiplayer.
This mystery publisher bullshit has gone on far too long. From what I can see the gameplay here is rather basic, and it was supposed to be released in the spring!
The game looks fantastic, should not be long now eh. {LS]
As a shmup freak I have to say that I'm disappointed...
This looks boring, nothing ever happens, the plane is way too slow, there are few enemies and even fewer bullets, and the music seems to be the same everywhere - which is a shame because it's not really good IMO.
The only thing I might be excited about are the graphics...
I'll try it anyway but... *looks Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga, Touhou, Gigawing and all his awesome shmups* It really looks like a basic shooter akin to the thousands of other basic shmups I have played -_-.
I saw a comment saying "It looks like 1943" and I kind of agree with it - it indeed looks like an old basic and boring shooter.
I hope I'm wrong .
It's great to see Nintendo's strategy to attract smaller, independent developers working, with the appeal and ease of developing for both DS and Wii
I can still remember one line Sataru Iwata proclaimed at the E3 2005 Press Conference: "..This is where the Big Idea can prevail over Big Budgets!" It sure seems like it now that Nibris is making some great progress with their upcoming Wii and DS projects like Double Bloob, ROTR and Sadness
As for the subject of people here showing a sense of disappointment, remember that this is not the final game, but rather a test build, and the game wont be out until next year so there's plenty of time for Nibris to fix the apparent flaws shown in the video; I'm sure the final product will be an overall better experience, and the music will vary in-game.

It's just after 2-nd milestone works...
Guys we even don't work on gameplay yet. Of course there are a lot of bugs but this is early build.
You hear just one song and no sounds effect because it's still in development. The same things is with Double Bloob.
SKNOT: Those were exactly my thoughts. I don't really see how this can be described as 'fantastic', going by that video. The bloody tech demos looked more fun.

Well that explains it then, shame the article didn't say that.

Hmmm, I'd been wondering what happened to RotR for a while...
DIGIMASTER, the reason I didn't talk about what milestone Nibris was at with ROTR was because I wasn't sure what I can and can't say at the moment That's why I did state 'the latest build', implying not the finished version. Vague, but I don't want to step on any toes.
Anyway, the game plays really well at the moment and Nibris is eager to hear feedback for the next step in the development process...So if people have constructive comments, please post them and Nibris will no doubt try to keep the fans as happy as possible!
Exactly!
Like Adam said we are waiting for your constructive comments. We are working on our titles (DB, ROTR, SADNESS and one title for Wiiware) for you - Fans, not for media (sorry Adam ).
Some of your thoughts (thanks Adam) we already added in last builds. So keep free to send all your ideas.

Have you seen anything of the multi-player modes in this build? They mentioned a while back (here I think!), that there were several modes including a Co-op ..
Also, quite a challenge on the feedback front when there is not a lot to go on
I think Fresh Chicken Studio have done well with this - considering the graphics are all 3D. My only comments, based on the builds (so I could be wrong), is that your plane appears slow or is responding slow.
Also, does the stylus get any use on the single player? I believe one of the multi-player modes used it .. so, I hope the DS features get used more in the final build ..
Good stuff Nibris .. looking forward to seeing more of this at Leipzig.
I like the cloud effects but are you not worried that they may become too much of a distraction?. I would suggest the colour of the ship be made so that it lessens that issue, and also, do aircraft ever fly under such vertical parralax clouds?. That I think would be a nice gameplay mechanic.
You could impliment a similar yet more subtle graphics technique that Nintendo have used on Zelda Phantom Hourglass, for when Link moves behind clouds of smoke.
It would also be cool if you had to disperse cloud cover somehow, on some levels to make targets visible.
I really like what ive seen so far on this game to date, good luck with the project. Please make sure the weaponry is good, that is of the upmost importance in such games, make power upping fun, think Conra DS . There is also the opportunity to pay hommage to a great classic game in the same mould, somewhere. Take inspiration from the finest shooters and have fun, experiment with new twists on old ideas.{LS]

If anything, this is good news in that we (or I should say "I") haven't heard anything about Nibris for a while! I have to say, that when Sadness was announced, it was probably my most anticipated game on the Wii. But as time has gone by, the hype has died down. I was even starting to wonder if Nibris still existed!
But this is good news for me. To me, this shows me that Nibris is for real, and that can only mean that Sadness is still on its way. And that can only be good news.
As far as this game itself, personally, I'm not a fan of this type of game. I never have been. But the game does look good. What they've done with the DS hardware is pretty impressive. I'll definitely be keeping and eye on this one. If they do a good job with it, then I can look forward to Sadness even more.
Looks alrighty, certainly not bad. I'm terrible at making anything out from off-screen videos so I can't really say much, but to be honest any shmup is worth playing for me. I want MOAR.
Also, as this is a Nibris-y-type thread... Weren't we supposed to be seeing our first Sadness footage at/around this year's E3?
They said E for All, not E3.
Some gameplay footage and a trailer will be enough for me come that show. {LS]
