Cute, all my little niece wants to do when she sees my shiny DS is to try and take a bite out of it. If it does not need a stylus then that's fine, otherwise it could be a little dangerous. Alternatively without a stylus little mites might get the crayons out! *smack smack*.

They should release a kiddy DS as well as the grandad one with safety in mind, and continue to make such software of this type. [LS]

Cool!
Instead of giving a kid a piece of paper, some crayons and some old toys you played with when you were younger, you can buy a DS and these games for 170 euro at least! Great deal.

Tomorrow's announcement: 'Two new versions of DS revealed' Be careful what you wish for! Smilie

Good to see more children's game appearing. I know people at work that are buying a DS for their children and aren't sure what to pick up.

I think the game sounds offensive to all the family. What if the child who gets the game doesn't have a mum? That would be plain sad. Heshe would cry everytime they looked at the game box. Why would you wanna do that 505 games?! Huh? Why? Why? Why would you do that? That's incredibly rude. You're a jerk!

Also it's sexist.

Kids that young shouldn't play games. What's the point?

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Buy it for their third birthday, to celebrate then being old enough to play games.

Or don't give them anything until they're old enough to want one badly enough, because that way you spend less money if you get them hooked later.

I know, because I've been playing games since I was 2 Smilie so my mum & dad had troubles with me I guess. Smilie

You forget one thing: Parents should decide themselves if they let their kid play at such a young age. I wouldn't, but some would (and some do not care).
I do not need this game (haven't any children. *gg*) but one publisher has to try it out. Maybe it does not sell, then others let this game-type die for the time being.

Giving a kid a piece of paper or kick it out to play outdoors.

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

If I ever have kids, they're not gonna have a games console for several years.

Smilie Wow, little sexist, that.
Don't think kids should be playing games until they're at least 5 anyway...who wants saliva all over their DS?

How is it sexist?

Who did who!?!?Smilie

And 5 minutes later watch it snap in half in a color spayed breaking of expensive toys.

Superlink must of had a gender-confused childhood. He was the opposite of a tomboy, whatever thats called. Probably wore little pink dresses and his mum's favourite necklace while prancing about in high heels, admiring himself in the mirror.

My children will be playing the most challengingly intellectual game I can find at the age of 2. If they can't figure out how to complete Super Metroid by the time they're 4 I'll be disposing of them and getting a new one.

Still a proud member of the 'omfg amazing water in games' society

So did you play with barbie or polly pocket when you were growing up?Smilie
I honestly can't remember Smilie

But honestly. What do nearly all kids do in family restaurants apart from colour in animals. Smilie

Well, they'd prolly be colouring in something else... Smilie

I dont think little kids are going to understand 'Stylus' and for gods sake the screens too fucking small to colour!

I'm not sure what age group they're aiming for, but my 4 year old daughter has been playing with games on the DS for at least a year now. She enjoys a lot of the mini games on the New Super Mario Bros for DS (a lot of which are exactly the same as the ones on Mario64 for DS). She also likes playing with the drawing "game" on Mario64 for DS.

I can easily see her playing with these games (assuming they don't suck, of course Smilie ).
