Nintendo Sales | DS Leads the Way in US [news]

Anyway good stuff, Brain Training has dropped a little, otherwise some solid placings

Nintendo must be pretty pleased that their console is now at the top of the Japaneese and American hardware sales chart.

Yeah, I reckon they've got Europe tied up too, depending on how the PS2 is doing

good for nintendo but by the looks of it they need a new big release in america and fast to keep the momentum up.

As a discple of the Wii60 phenomenom, it's good to see XBOX having such a strong presence in the US top 25. My hope that by this time next year the Wii and the 360 battle it out for supremacy. Suprising coming from a fan of Sony but no offence to the PS3, it's a powerful beast a great machine all round and will have some great games but it also reeks of all the things Sony does so WRONG!
I can't wait to see how more DS games both first party third party perform in the US and other major territories over the next coming months.

XBOX 360 is not selling as well as I thought it will...regardless I think it will outsell ps3. Today at the shops we went into EB and saw a ps3 poster. It says get ps3 for $700....when you trade in a ps2 and twenty games? My casual gamer friends were like wtf?

$700 Dollars WHEN you trade in a PS2 with 20 games?! Wtf??? I think EB is getting carried away and have things all wrong,Z. Even us here in Britain know that the PS3 will retail for about $600. Astronomical for a console but $700 with a PS2 and 20 games? What does EB think that they're doing??

140k a week 560 units a moth in Europe during the summer it's tied up all right not to mention the Ds running riot on the German, French and Scandivaian software charts and doing well in UK, Ireland, Spain.

Mario hoops, starfox, clubhouse games, Yoshi i think are all coming out and of course so a decent line up to keep the momentum going.

The 360 sells terrible for a new console everywhere considering most people think it will win it hasn't even broken the 3.5m mark which is just diasterous, i think the Wii and the DS will thomp everything in it's site's at Christmas time, although the 360 software seems to be faring well

The PSP sales seem to be cooling off. Sony needs to do something fast or the PSP could be fighting the GameCube or worse, the Xbox, for market share.

North American data, so yes, and I agree with you also. Microsoft have blown a massive chance and can forget any thoughts of winning now.
