Two new scans appeared today, showing Advance Wars DS a little more. Jonnyram from the Gaming Age Forums translated the text and came up with the following:
- The official Japanese title seems to be Famicom Wars DS: Battle of Omega Land.
- The two screens are used for tag battles, with one CO fighting on each screen. You seem to be able to switch between screens when you wish, depending on your tactical needs.
- The bottom screen is displayed at a weird angle for no apparent reason, as you can't see extra land.
- When you're not playing tag, the top screen is used for info, like missile countdown, unit info, land data etc, and will be displayed continuously while you are moving units. Bottom screen displays map and battles.
- COs have a TAG stat to show how well they work with other COs.
- New units include aircraft carrier and stealth fighter.
- Mode select screen shows: Campaign, trial, free battle, survival and combat, plus the number of medals collected so far.
- The game is due out this year in Japan for 4800 yen.
