New Nintendo 3DS Coming to North America

Wanting to get hold of a New Nintendo 3DS console in the US? Nintendo will launch the smaller sized console this month.

Folk across North America have had to settle for the New Nintendo 3DS XL since the launch of the revised hardware, which offers a larger screen but doesn't include interchangeable faceplates.

However, the New Nintendo 3DS system will now be available as part of a special Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle from 25th September. The package includes two faceplates, amiibo card and a copy of the game with an RRP of $219.99.

In addition, Nintendo will also release a Hyrule Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL system - exclusively for GameStop stores - on 30th October in time for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. The console alone will be available at $199.99.

"These new models offer additional fun ways to experience some of the great upcoming Nintendo 3DS games launching in the next few months," said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America's Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
