Persona Q is Part of the Overall Storyline Canon on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The 3DS entry for Persona will be part of the overall storyline, Atlus USA confirmed at E3 last week.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth was shown off to selected members of the press at E3 this month, with publisher Atlus highlighting the first-person battle system that draws heavily from the Persona-styled combat.

Within the session, a representative for Atlus confirmed that the events of the upcoming 3DS game are part of the overall series canon, ensuring that the portable release isn't a spin-off game after-all. The reasons why, naturally, couldn't be shared due to potential spoilers.

Players pick a roster from Persona 3 or Persona 4, with the full set of characters becoming available after completing the first dungeon.
