E3 2012 | Ubisoft Reveals Wii U Line-up, May Port Some to Tablets on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

During Ubisoft's E3 presentation this evening, the company confirmed a handful of games on the way to Wii U, covering a variety of bases and tastes.

Amongst the list is the eagerly anticipated third main installment of the popular Assassin's Creed series - still on the way to Nintendo's next-generation box. Joining the campaign is the just-announced, and very much expected Just Dance 4, plus the sublime sequel to 2D high-definition Rayman, Legends.

Without further adieu, the current Wii U line-up from Ubisoft:

  • Assassin's Creed III
  • Just Dance 4
  • Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth
  • Rabbids Land
  • Rayman Legends
  • Sports Connection
  • Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013
  • ZombiU (previously Killer Freaks from Outer Space)

As you can expect all these titles will have some form of integration with the Wii U GamePad, and some of these concepts will be ported to tablets and smartphones - according to Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot.

The new content you can't port on the other machines but what you can do is to port it to mobile phones and to tablets. So it's a way to create content that you will be able to port on the generations of tablets or phones that work well - if you don't monetise it there you can monetise it on many other platforms.

What do you think of the E3 line-up from Ubisoft for Wii U so far?

The quote about porting to mobile phones and tablets has me a little worried... Smilie

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.
