Japanese Sales, 3rd-9th May, 2010

The sales in Japan for the period of 3rd-9th May, 2010 have now been collated and this week show that Square Enix's Dragon Quest series has no intention of slowing down anytime soon, with Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 sitting pretty at the top of the chart, selling another ~250,000 units in its second week of release, keeping it above Konami's Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker yet again, whilst New Super Mario Bros. Wii shuffles back up to No.3 as it gradually edges its way towards the four million mark. Currently it sits as the fifth biggest selling Mario game in Japan ever, just behind Super Mario Bros. 3 from the NES, which itself will soon be passed as its last known total was 3.84 million units.
