Dead Space Extraction Wii for PSN and XBLA? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A version of the Wii-exclusive prequel to the whole Dead Space story may be ported to PSN and XBLA if there's enough demand from users.

In a recent survey found by Kotaku, asked whether gamers would be interested in a "full HD interactive horror experience" in "guided first-person" - essentially an HD take on the unique Wii idea. A tentative price of $15 was also mentioned.

EA has yet to announce any plans to bring the spinoff to HD consoles, but with sales fairly weak on the Wii front it may be a move worth considering.

On a side note, the Dead Space love continues with confirmation that the sequel, Dead Space 2, is in development for handhelds. No platforms were mentioned, but a DS version is farily likely.

PS3/Xbox/PC owners - would you be interested in an HD version of Dead Space Extraction?

JB you read Kotaku, I am disappoint.

On topic, I would get it if there was a demo allowing us to try with the better controllers. The supposed to be another game alongside this called Planet Cracker which doesn't sound racist.

I agree. I would have liked to have tried this game too, but it's too bad Wii doesn't have demos. It's also too bad Wii doesn't have more FPS games since the Wii controllers definitely are better for that genre.

I feel $50 is too much for an on-rails shooter. If it had been released on Wii for $15, it would have sold better. I most likely would have gotten it too.

I would totally buy it for $15 on 360 or PS3 with improved graphics and better controls. (via PS3 Wand or Natal) I imagine both they're controllers will have improved rumble.

I'm not sure how Natal can have rumble, female gamers can have rumble with Natal but not straight male gamers.

Won't they actually need to release this with a light gun for it to come to those consoles?

EIther way, I'm still not interested in it.

I'm hardly interested in the game as it is, though I do intend to rent. But releasing it for the other systems just seems... stupid.
Also, it working for Natal? With rumble? You realize Natal is camera-based, right? I guess you can have your camera rumble around, but the only effect it'll have is your device falling off of your tv.
Also, I'm pretty sure if they do this, it'll be out long before Natal or Wand.
