"Impeccable production"

That was a joke right, Adam? Because it looks like ass. Maybe because I've been spoiled by how gorgeous the PC version it.

Or maybe I just lifted that from the Press Release Smilie

This is high on my radar because it's from Firebrand Games, the team that has blown me away with its DS racing games over the past few years. The team's been tweaking its Octance engine for AGES now and is finally dipping its toe in Wii waters. I can't wait to see the end result Smilie

Plus, it looks better than most other Wii racers...I know that's not saying much, but it's the sad truth.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, why would I pay for this when I can the SAME GAME off Steam for... free?

The former top user was Keven! You'd probably give birth to yourself 1000 times over until you sprout wings to fly away into the fading sun, that or you'd just turn into a lesbian. Who knows @_@ - L, 12/06/09

the SAME GAME...

It won't be the same game, though, will it? This isn't developed by Nadeo. The team's handed this entirely over to Firebrand for this Wii edition. So whilst the source material is indeed the same, the actual end product will be different.

I know where you're coming from, but after playing the DS version, I'm certainly interested in seeing how this Wii one turns out. The final price-point could also be £19.99/£24.99 - it hasn't been announced yet.

I love map/level/track editors. It seems that they are the only things that will bring me back to the game after I beat it.

That said, I would love a simple track editor in Mario Kart. It doesn't have to be anything complicated like TrackMania, maybe something like Brawl with some pre-set track pieces and a few tile-sets.

It looks like the DS one scalled upwards lol the Steam Engine one looks so much better! Okay it's for PC but this is Wii we are talking about and not the DS or freaking GameBoy Advance lol

Hmm Ok, why does this look worse that Excite Truck? Wtf, this is horrible. Mario Kart looks better than this trash. Also, agreed with Knighty, the PC version is beautiful, fucking love it. I didn't expect this to look as good but come on, those landscapes look like those panel effects like the trees in Mario 64.
Yuck man.

Looks pretty good. For an N64 game.
