EA GamesCom Media Update on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

And lo, GamesCom did arrive and bring us media-based treats. While the big news of the show has of course been the newly designed Playstation 3 (which you can have a big natter about here), there are also Nintendo-based assets floating around despite their lack of presence at the show.

EA has stepped up to the plate to deliver us some media of their Wii and DS titles that are present at the show. Below you will find a smattering of screens along with links to their respective game pages if you feel like seeking out more information and screenshots.

First up we have Need For Speed: Nitro.

Dead Space: Extraction

We have more information on this one. The Wii-exclusive shooter is due out this autumn (September 29th specifically for our American readers) and is specially optimised for co-op play, allowing players to jump in and out at their leisure. EA are billing Dead Space: Extraction as an interactive horror movie, so you'd better hope there are going to be some scares in there.

A breakdown of the controls:

We will soon have hands-on reports of all these games after playing them at a recent EA event, and if you behave you can have some interviews for dessert, too. Keep 'em peeled.

What do you think of EA's near-future Nintendo line-up?
