Classic SEGA Gem Localised for VC

Classic SEGA gems are set to reignite fans with a handful of Genesis and Master System titles due out later this year.

The publisher today confirmed that the next collection in the Vintage series will be released towards the end of 2011 and into next year on PSN and the Wii Virtual Console. One of the games in the bundle, Wonder Boy in Monster World IV, originally released as Japan-only for Genesis/Mega Drive, will be localised for the first time. Monster World IV was also one of the early games to feature a female lead, not so rare now, but quite a feat back then!

The latest Vintage Collection includes:

• Monster World IV (Genesis/Mega Drive)
• Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Arcade)
• Revenge of Shinobi (Genesis/Mega Drive)
• Alex Kidd in Miracle World (Master System)
• Wonder Boy in Monster World (Genesis/Mega Drive)
