noneIt's worth noting that in the following week, PS3 figures fell to around 25,000, with MGS4 dropping to 2 in the software charts (although still staying ahead of new release, Super Mario Sluggers).

noneYeah, bit behind on the Japanese numbers, sorry...been a bit side-tracked. There are reports that used copies of MGS4 are flooding the market now, as well as plenty of returned PS3s. It's very similar to the situation with Blue Dragon and the 360. Gaming otaku snap up the title and console, complete as quick as possible and then basically get their money back asap...
Still, for MGS4 to nearly beat DQS's total in just one week on what many deem a dead console in Japan is indeed quite impressive.

noneAnyway, look at how Wii Fit has re-taken the lead on MHP2G's total:
3.) Wii Fit (Wii, Nintendo) 37,000 | 2,227,000
5.) Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G (PSP, Capcom) 26,000 | 2,203,000
5.) Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G (PSP, Capcom) 26,000 | 2,203,000
Looks like Nintendo's game could well have far stronger legs than Capcom's...
